I’m Jordan!
A sarcastic smartass who occasionally speaks about networking and stuff.
I’ve done a little bit of everything in the wedding and event industry from buying a catering company with a penchant for burning toast to selling weddings for an exquisite and historic venue. Now, as the owner and president of the largest wedding and event association on the Suncoast of Florida, I’m available to speak at your event or podcast!
Am I a professional speaker? Absolutely not. I have bad habits like contradicting myself, running off on long tangents and reading directly from my presentation. But I am real, knowledgeable about a handful of things and always have fun.
Check below to see places I have spoken, presentations, a whole gallery of me and a bio. I am also happy to create a custom presentation or panel for your group.
I look forward to working with you!

Networker, He Wrote
A Killer Guide To Turning Relationships into Revenue
For some of us, networking is murder. But whether you kill it in social situations or you prefer to operate in the shadows, networking is a must for everyone in the events industry. In this session, you will learn how to leverage relationships into revenue by becoming the best networker you can be. Awkward? So am I. Hate people? Me too. But having solid bonds with as many people as possible will take both your events and your career to the next level. I will be sharing direct lessons learned from many years of networking wins and fails as well as taking audience horror stories to see what we can learn from your own experiences.

LGBTWho?
Understanding Your LGBTQIA+ Clients, Co-Workers and Colleagues
It seems every time you turn around, there’s a new letter being added to the list. Just when you were settling into same-sex weddings, there are new terms, pronouns and etiquette “coming out”. But a little compassion and effort to see things from another’s perspective can go a long way. In this seminar, we’ll breakdown why there are so many new identities emerging, what they mean and why you should care.

The Slow Game
A Guide to Getting on Preferred Vendor Lists & Building a Respected Brand Along the Way
Is there a venue that you dream to work at? Is getting on their preferred list a professional goal? As venues sit at the top of the wedding food chain, they can be some of the hardest vendors with which to network. Attendees will be learning some of the best, and sometimes unconventional strategies for ingratiating yourself with your favorite venue. It is not always an easy task and it won’t happen overnight. Gaining the trust of a venue can be a long and arduous process. BUT It can also be a fun and beneficial way to build your brand and your relationship with other vendors. And it can only happen if you take your time and play the slow game.

A Bio.
In the events industry, Jordan Heller is a jack of all trades but a master of.... one. Networking. After the failure of a catering company, Jordan moved into venue sales and event planning at The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art. He sold half-million-dollar weddings and worked with a team to plan large public events and intimate member dining experiences. Jordan began privately producing over-the-top networking events for the local wedding and event industry twice a year starting in 2016. As the popularity of these events grew, he was able to turn them into a membership association and full-time business called Suncoast Wedding & Event Leaders (SWEL) in 2020. Jordan continues to produce monthly networking events and is the executive editor and publisher of annual wedding and event guide that features his 200+ members.
